Pyramid Level 3: Acknowledge Deep Wishes letter image

"When I grow up, I will have a wonderful family."

"When I grow up, I will have a large home."

"When I grow up, I will have plenty of money to buy whatever I want."

"When I grow up, I will take care of my family."

"When I grow up, I will act differently from my parents."

It's rude to break promises. But what about those made to yourself?

We all have promised to achieve or do something when we're adults.. And here we are.

There may be 5, 10, 20, 30 years since some wishes were created and either forgotten or postponed. You deserve more.

Maybe you feel you haven't had enough opportunities, not enough money, not enough knowledge. I feel the pain. Life is oftentimes difficult.

It's easy to forget what your deep aspirations are when we have to:

  • Commute to work for 45 minutes
  • Work for 9 hours
  • Commute back for another 45 minutes
  • Eat
  • Watch some social media/Netflix/TV
  • Go to sleep

The time for yourself is non-existent. And I'm not saying social media and movies are not educational or recreational. But if they take more time than the time spent on your wishes, they're destructive.

Working a job should not be a shame. Not working your dreams should be.

You need to win time for yourself. Attention is barely kept for longer than 5 minutes at once these days.

It breaks my heart when I see my colleagues surprised when they see me joining the meetings with a smile on my face. It shouldn't be this way.

We already have the same basic reasons to enjoy life:

  • A very good paying job
  • A place to live
  • The freedom of remote work and incredible flexible hours
  • Not worrying about next month's billing
  • Enough money to travel

So what's different? I'd say the mindset.

Frankly, that's a toxic mindset and extremely dangerous to start earning tons of money. If you're not already comfortable in this current position, you won't be even with $1 million in your bank account.

Money can buy anything physical, material. When you lack authenticity, money throws you farther away from the truth.

Let me reiterate a few important facts:

  • It's not your boss' fault for your unfulfillment
  • It's not the a 9-5 job leading you lacking time
  • It's not the ultra-processed foods that deteriorated your health

It's all because of you. You are responsible for everything you live today.

Stay with me, I'm not saying this to piss you off, but give you power. Let me explain.

When we were kids, parents were responsible for us. If not them, uncles, grandparents or someone with authority. We were dependent.

Did anyone make it explicit that from one point in our lives that's it? We should take decision on our own and that everything we'll accomplish in life is purely related to our decisions?

No. Everybody is saying "oh, but it's obvious". It's not obvious at all, and we can live an entire life with child mindsets, because no one was there to open our eyes.

This is a wake-up call for the grown adult you are today. You are independent, have authority, own yourself and can move in any direction you want.

Free the adult by letting the inner child in the past. He lived his times, now it's your turn.

Today it's about Pyramid Level 3: Acknowledge Deep Wishes, which turned out more intense than I thought. This is why I wanted to emphasise the adult independence.

Watch out for false wishes, which were created throughout our life such as:

  • Wanting money to satisfy the hurt ego
  • Wanting a super car to impress your friends
  • Wanting a fit body to make your ex jealous
  • Want to start a company to be the boss you hate at current job

It's easy to fall under this trap, because ego, envy and suffering are activated on a daily basis in this broken society. We get enormous levels of negativity each day if we don't filter out information and experiences coming towards us.

Instead, I can give you some of my examples:

  • Learning to write short, on point, with examples and impactful
  • Exposing myself in the world, helping people going through what I did in the past
  • Dissecting the art of contemplation to unlock even more limitations of my beliefs
  • Mastering the balance between body, mind and soul
  • Being unconscious grateful simply for the fact I am alive

You may ask: but there's no money there, we need money. Money doesn't come from nothing, especially big money. My wishes are to gain so much knowledge and applicable values that will undoubtedly make me money when I'm ready and good enough.

Chase values, and money will follow.

Letter's Quest

You're gonna travel a long distance in the past, more specifically, in your childhood.

Connect with the child inside you. Hear and listen to him as nobody did in his entire life. He needs a grown adult. You.

It's amazing and powerful to think you're the only person responsible for achieving your dreams.

Try to figure out what are the things you craved doing at that time. Don't rush, as it's a long and dark way down there.

There are free tools available to help you achieve this:

  • Writing
  • Meditation
  • Talking in the mirror

But here you are, building the pyramid, where you have Self Control and Accepted the Present. It's time to start achieving what you love.

Why childhood? Because most likely that was your purest form of soul, when your wishes weren't influenced by ego, comparison, competition and suffering brought by society exposure.

Until the next letter, I wish you success in everything you're up to!
